B Proactive Counselling has been in operation for a number of years. We have been providing counselling, psycho-educational sessions, and group support in various areas of Mental Health. We are a five-office clinic.
All of our counsellors hold a Master’s degree, are registered with a regulatory body, and are insured.
Information is woven through each session in order to prevent further breakdown in the individual, their relationships and/or their work performance. Our goal is not to solve the client’s problems, but to hold a supportive space where clients can work through their own problems.
All counsellors are heavily orientated in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Solution Focused, and Exposure Therapy.
We provide individual, adult & youth, family and group sessions. We offer both in person and online sessions.

COMMON AREAS OF THERAPY
Stress is comprised of external and self-created pressures placed upon ourselves. Everyone has an optimal stress range in which they are the most effective, however when stress levels reach beyond the optimal range, life can feel overwhelming and chaotic.
Anxiety is a normal experience. Healthy anxiety may appear when we have an important test, or interview to take. It can even motivate us to complete tasks. However, anxiety can become problematic when triggered too often.
Feeling sad is a normal part of the human condition. Depressive symptoms become concerning when they are experienced for long periods of time. Depression can affect any type of person at anytime. It can not only be overcome by willpower.
Performance Anxiety is a form of anxiety that occurs when you believe there may be others watching or judging you. During this time you may have feelings of fear, an increase in adrenaline and heart rate, and a loss of the ability to think clearly.
The way you view yourself has an impact on every area of your life. It guides how you treat yourself, others, and how others treat you. Self-views like "I am enough" can lead someone to be confident in who they are and what they can do.
